Days after a Trump surrogate disparaged Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage” and Vice President Harris unveiled her Opportunity Economy agenda for Puerto Ricans on the island and mainland – Team Harris-Walz is out with “Somos Más,” a new Spanish-language ad targeting Puerto Rican and Latino voters across battleground states.

The ad spotlights the ambition and contributions of Puerto Ricans to our society, slams Trump’s insults to Puerto Ricans, and reminds them that Vice President Harris will always stand with them.

This new ad builds on the campaign’s efforts to continue to put a spotlight on the choice Puerto Rican and Latino voters face this election:

The morning after Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, Puerto Rican leaders in Pennsylvania slammed Trump’s long-standing attacks on Puerto Ricans on the island and mainland. Additional events were held in Georgiaand New York City, with leaders in Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, and North Carolina continuing to speak out on Trump’s hateful and divisive rhetoric.

The day following Trump’s racist, anti-Latino rally, Team Harris-Walz released a new digital ad, “Deserve Better,” focused on Trump’s unforgivable legacy of abandoning the island after Hurricane Maria and the comments from MSG.

On Tuesday, both Governor Walz and Vice President Harris participated in Hispanic radio interviews with Radio Bilingüe and Rumba 106.1, where they slammed Trump’s attacks on Latinos and reaffirmed the Vice President’s commitment to being a president for all Americans.
