Trump fan charged with plotting to murder FBI agents had a gun on Jan. 6, DOJ says

WASHINGTON — A Donald Trump supporter who, federal authorities say, plotted to kill FBI special agents investigating him on Jan. 6 charges appears to have been armed with a gun when he became the fourth rioter to breach the U.S. Capitol, prosecutors said at trial Tuesday.

Edward Kelley, of Tennessee, is one of just a handful of Jan. 6 suspects who are still being held in pretrial custody, meaning they haven't yet been convicted of crimes. Kelley was originally freed pending trial on his Jan. 6 charges but was then re-arrested over allegations of a murder plot in December 2022.

He and co-defendant Austin Carter plotted “to murder employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation" in December 2022, months after Kelley's arrest on Jan. 6 charges, Carter admitted in a plea agreement. Kelley is set to go to trial in that case in a federal court in Tennessee on Nov. 18, with a pretrial conference scheduled next week, on Nov. 7.

This week, Kelley was in federal court in Washington, facing an array of charges in connection with his original conduct on Jan. 6, 2021: civil disorder; obstruction of an official proceeding; assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers; destruction of government property; and a variety of misdemeanors. His defense team didn’t put forth any witnesses during his trial, and Kelley declined to testify. Kelley, an anti-abortion-rights activist, wore a sweatshirt reading TCAPP, standing for "The Church At Planned Parenthood," when he stormed the Capitol, according to the FBI.

2. I doubt it would have been possible to "kettle" that number of assholes and then search them for guns.

That type of police operation would have required planning and forewarning of the event to know that it would even be necessary.

3. Yes, but my point is, claims that the insurrectionists were unarmed are bogus

People like Tucker Carlson know that, but they also know there's no penalty for lying about it.

4. Traitor Green has pushed that "unarmed BS since Jan 6th. Never mind what the SS told Trump before his rally.

They could probably go back on video before his rally and count how many were standing outside the fence or whatever not wanting to go through the magnetometers at that rally. The secret service knew they were packing,Trump knew they were, and others there knew they had guns.

These gloves were specifically purchased for the j6 rally. Another j6er, Ronald MacAbee, wore the same gloves. I think the guys know each other.

“The Church at Planned Parenthood” is a pop-up extremist group that is loudly against Planned Parenthood. They block and interrupt Planned Parenthood's health care services, block access to PP clinics, intimidated patients, and often carried concealed weapons. Just like this guy did on 06 Jan. 2021!

Like the did in

Who do they attract? People like the founder of Patriot Prayer, the Reich-wing hate group associated with the Proud Boys. Nice. And so very hypocritically "Christian" of them!

Planned Parenthood sued them in court in 2022 to hold them accountable for all the illegal shit they pulled. In 2023 they won a $100,000 judgement for the initial claims against them, and later agreed to settle all remaining claims and the attorneys' fees for $850,000.

Total fines to be paid by "The Church of Planned Parenthood" Almost $1,000,000.

Eff them, and Bwahahahahahahahaha!
