Lindsey Graham Hits the Panic Button on Republican Fundraising: 'We're Getting Creamed'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) urged Fox News viewers to donate to Republicans because the party is getting creamed in fundraising.
Democrats face a tough Senate map because they must defend several seats in red or purple states. Still, the party has managed to raise more than twice as much money in battleground Senate races. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris is far outpacing former President Donald Trump when it comes to raising money.
Appearing on Fridays Hannity, Graham made a plea to viewers to donate to boost the GOPs chances of retaking the Senate, which Democrats control 51-49.
The United States Senate needs to have enough Republicans to help this president enact his agenda, he said. I dont want 51. I want more. So, Im here tonight to give you a wake-up call. You said every vote counts. Well, every donation counts, too. Were getting creamed on the Senate when it comes to raising money. Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan, our candidates are being out-raised 3-1.

You HAD the money but you mis-spent it.

(120,833 posts)Graham is a remora who desperately needs a shark. He'll attach himself to Vance if Vance's political career survives a Trump defeat; otherwise he'll find someone else whose tolerance of him makes him feel important - he's a sad little man who can't fend for himself. McCain had the reputation and the mojo Graham wished he had; when McCain died he attached himself to the new shark, Trump - not because he liked the new shark but because he has always survived on shark shit: Remoras' diets "are composed primarily of host feces." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remora

You said it yourself, Lindsey, Your going to louse and you are going to deserve it. I suggest that you try to be truthful and respectful, but it's too late for that. You want enough hate filled votes so that YOUR Senate can enact Project 2025 and completely destroy the country we all grew up in. NO!

(19,013 posts)donated to Democratic candidates translates into votes. If every dollar raised by Dem candidates represented a vote, then yeah, rwnj are creamed. But money is money and votes are votes. With early voting started, shift to GOTV and get our country across the finish line with a dramatic, indisputable majority!
GOTV!

(11,401 posts)Their ground game funding was wiped out and moved into Trump's greedy little hands when he put his daughter-in-law in charge. They even wiped out the funding in battleground states.
They thought Evangelicals and the corporate media would do all the work for them. But volunteer contributions only go so far.
He got Musk to step in and do some kind of contracting on their GOTV. But that's like the blind leading the blind. All Putin pal Musk can do is jump up and down while letting Russia run X.

Lindsey Graham (R-SC) once predicted in a tweet, posted more than four years ago, that by nominating Trump to become the Republican candidate and subsequent President of the United States in 2016, the party would "get destroyed" and that its destruction would be well-deserved. Well, here we are.

Those are the ones who benefit from the Republican policies (mainly tax cuts for the very top income people). The oligarchs more or less.

The special grand jury recommended charges against Graham as well as Georgia's two U.S. senators at the time, Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, the report said. Like Trump, all are Republicans.
Graham, a Trump rival turned golf buddy, denied wrongdoing and said he was fulfilling his oversight duties as the top lawmaker on the Senate Judiciary Committee when he asked Georgia officials to examine absentee ballots after Trump's defeat.
"We can't criminalize senators doing their job," he said at a news conference in South Carolina on Friday. "The next election, if I have questions I'll do the same thing." The panel also recommended charges against Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn, adviser Boris Epshteyn and lawyers Lin Wood and Cleta Mitchell, the report showed.
It was unclear why Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis opted not to bring charges against the six people, and her office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Am thinking she probably didn't have the resources to take on the whole "Speech and Debate Clause" excuse that Graham argued and even used with the SCOTUS in order to get them to block the subpoena for him to testify. The SCOTUS fortunately denied any intervention and he did testify for that grand jury.

(17,672 posts)That's a specific charge on a single instance of wrongdoing. I speculate there's more to it, but then I think that if we really knew what goes on up on the Hill, we'd be appalled. These people are not our friends.
