Bret Baier Says He 'Made a Mistake' in Kamala Harris Fox News Interview

Source: Newsweek

Published Oct 18, 2024 at 4:54 AM EDT

Fox News host Bret Baier has said he "did make a mistake" during his interview on Wednesday with Vice President Kamala Harris and that he had intended to show a clip of Donald Trump making comments about "the enemy from within." During a sometimes heated interview, Baier challenged the Democratic presidential nominee over the Biden administration's positions on immigration, crime and transgender health. They also discussed whether Trump, her Republican opponent, represents a threat to American democracy.

Harris' appearance on the conservative-leaning network came as polls indicate the race between her and Trump remains close, with the election analytics website 538 giving Harris a 52 percent chance of victory versus Trump's 48 percent. In a further bid to widen her appeal, the vice president is reportedly considering an appearance on comedian Joe Rogan's podcast, which is particularly popular among young men.

In an interview broadcast on Sunday, Trump spoke with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, who asked him about comments made by President Joe Biden. The president said earlier this month that he wasn't sure the 2024 presidential election would be peaceful. Trump told Bartiromo: "I think the bigger problem is the enemy from within. Not even the people that have come in and destroying our country—by the way, totally destroying our country. The towns, the villages, they're being inundated.

But I don't think they're the problem in terms of Election Day. I think the bigger problem are the people from within. "We have some very had (sic) people. We have some sick people—radical left lunatics. And I think it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, National Guard or if really necessary by the military."

Fox Lies to cover Fox Lies so they can perpetuate more Fox Lies

The video was no mistake. It was a switcheroo, and she caught on right away. You could see the slight smile on her face and widening eyes even before he finished his question. She was ready, and pounced on it.

"You & I both know..." She said that at least two times & he never denied it!!

One DUer said they didn't turn away from Fox fast enough & they caught the first part of the after-show & heard one of the hosts say, "I didn't see any joy." Ha ha ha. You thought you were going to get the laughing, smiling, joyful candidate & instead you got the prosecutor.

If he'd researched her just a little bit, he would have known better than to pull a stunt like that. But he did not bother. Instead, he assumed she'd be a pushover. After all, she's "just" a woman.

He strikes me as the type of man who is very confident of his ability to intimidate women and push them around, and when he found out that wasn't going to work with her, he froze. Like most bullies, he's used to relying on his bullying "skills," and he doesn't have anything else to fall back on. Too bad, so sad.

go Bill O'Reilly and get really fucking ugly (not a good look), or be civil and be roasted by the capable, qualified, educated, intelligent, knowledgeable, WINNING candidate before him, who happens to be a Democrat, a woman, and a person of color (a large percentage of all the things he hates).

he tried to skillfully catapult the propaganda, he tried talking over her, he looked at her as if she was a thing and not a person, and he lost the debate going away.

He is used to the typical GOP dimwits and can't comprehend that Kamala is bright, highly educated and very capable. This is just a lame attempt to make his disastrous demonstration of his own shortcomings something he did rather then him not being up to their slimy goals. It is kind of pathetic and self demonstrating how often white supremacists come up short and just complain. Never seen such a whiny bunch as the GOP Reich wing.

the K-bomb and her skills from years of legal work. A good lawyer does not ask a question
or bring up information that they don’t know the answer and or response to.

Btw I hope Brett Baier’s surgery went well in the removal of Harris’ shoe from his colon
