Trump claim against SJSU player rebutted after he pledges to ban trans athletes from women's sports

Former President Donald Trump, referencing a play in a San Jose State womens volleyball match last week, said Wednesday that he would ban all transgender women from competing in womens sports if elected.

San Diego State disputed Trumps version of events in a statement Wednesday.
This did not happen, SDSU director of athletic communications Jamie McConeghy said in a statement. The ball hit her in the shoulder. She was uninjured and did not miss a play. He added that the school has called for multiple corrections from media outlets.
