(2,102 posts)I tell people it's harder in a lot of ways than losing our mom. It's been almost 4 months and I still cry every day.
My condolences and sympathy to Madonna as she navigates life without her brother.

(34,387 posts)I have been teary since posting here and reading about your brother. Mine was 2 years younger than me and died a long, slow death from AIDS. He came to live with me and I made my home at the hospital until I had to make "the decision". I will send some good thoughts your way. Warm hugs, warm thoughts.

(2,102 posts)He was the oldest of my siblings. He made some choices in life that made life tougher but he always accepted responsibility and never complained. The last couple years of his life he really made some positive strides. The last time I saw him, just a few days before he entered the hospital, he was so happy. I have one memory in particular that I will treasure forever. I will miss his wit and laughter the most.
