The pastor of an Ohio church who told his followers that the government needs to fear us has been charged with felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
William Dunfee, 57, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, was charged today with interfering with a law enforcement officer during a civil disorder and obstruction of an official proceeding, both felonies, the Department of Justice (DOJ) reported. He also is charged with five misdemeanor offenses.
Dunfee is accused of repeatedly pushing against police barricades during the riot, according to the FBI criminal complaint. He was captured on video addressing police with a bullhorn, it added, saying:
Mister police officers, we want you to understand something. We want you to understand something. We want Donald Trump and if Donald Trump is not coming, we are taking our house. We are taking our house.

Federal authorities on Wednesday arrested an Ohio pastor and charged him with felony and misdemeanor charges after he allegedly entered the Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, rioting.
William Dunfee, 57, of Frazeysburg, is charged with obstructing an official proceeding and interfering with a law enforcement officer, according to a release from the Department of Justice (DOJ), along with five other misdemeanor charges.
. . .
He is a pastor at the Christian church New Beginning Ministries in Warsaw, Ohio. According to his biographical page, Dunfee became a pastor in 1994 and helped found the New Beginnings church in 2001.
In late December 2020, Dunfee delivered a sermon asking his followers if they were ready for Jan. 4 through Jan. 6, according to the DOJ.

(1,766 posts)His religion has aligned itself with power and corruption for centuries. Wherever a pagan ruled, those pagans got wiped out--or forced to convert. They tried to wipe out Muslims in the Levant--for power. They even killed each other for power if they disagreed about how to practice the faith (see: Cathars; Reformation Wars).
This is nothing new for them. If anything, it's the norm.

a black man became President. He lives in Licking County but his Church is in Coshcoton County
and their racism is deep.

around where they lived to her birthday party and invited her daughters friends from Columbus
to the party too. They had to move out of the area PDQ because they were Jewish and had black
friends from Columbus and they got death threats from some of the parents of the locals because
they had exposed their children to n****rs and Jews. I hate to say it but the hate and stupidity of
some of these people will only go away when they die.

(200 posts)It is way past time to re-examine the tax exempt status of most "churches" in this country. Many of them are breeding grounds for violence against our government and people who don't share their religious beliefs.
Churches seem to attract sex offenders - I believe the title "Youth Pastor" is synonymous with child rapist. I'm not even going to start with the shit the Catholic church has gotten away with.
How has this man remained at large this long?
