The Jan. 6 select committee has subpoenaed Wisconsin's House speaker
Source: Politico
Vos sues: The Jan. 6 select committee subpoenaed Wisconsins House Speaker Robin Vos over the weekend for testimony about a July phone call with former President Donald Trump.
The panel is demanding his testimony by Monday, and Vos is suing to block the effort.
Vos filed the federal suit over the weekend in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He claims the subpoena is outside the scope of the select committees mission and imposes an undue burden by requiring him to comply so quickly.
Speaker Vos conversations with former President Trump pertained to a recently decided Wisconsin Supreme Court decision about Wisconsin election law and any actions that could be taken in response to this decision moving forward, the House speaker said in the suit. These topics do not pertain to the events of January 6th, or even (to construe the authorizing resolution broadly) the events leading up to it or its immediate aftermath.

I'm sure he's involved in the whole "stop the steal scam.

(800 posts)9. Unfortunately, after redistricting, Vos is now my state assembly rep.
And worse, he has no Democratic opponent in November. I'm just going to leave that race blank on my ballot.
