A Jewish fraternity house on the campus of George Washington University was broken into and vandalized this weekend.

The Alpha-Pi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon reports that sacred Jewish texts were desecrated.

A member of the fraternity tells 7News that it happened Saturday night into Sunday morning, probably between midnight and 2 a.m. He said fraternity members were out celebrating Halloween.

The Torah that was desecrated is going through the religious process for burial, the member tells 7News.
