Tell us you stand with the terrorist without telling us you stand with the terrorist, a Democratic colleague responded.

Fellow House members criticized Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., after he released a statement Thursday that appeared to be sympathetic to the man police had arrested earlier in the day in connection with a bomb threat near the U.S. Capitol.
Although this terrorists motivation is not yet publicly known, and generally speaking, I understand citizenry anger directed at dictatorial Socialism and its threat to liberty, freedom and the very fabric of American society, Brooks tweeted. The way to stop Socialisms march is for patriotic Americans to fight back in the 2022 and 2024 election.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., responded to the statement in a tweet, calling it evil.
He added in another tweet: The GOP has a decision to make. Are we going to be the party that keeps stoking sympathy for domestic terrorists and pushes out truth, or finally take a stand for truth. Ive made my decision, so has Mo. Now its up to GOP conference leadership to make theirs................................

Brooks excuse for his jan 6 speech was that he was supporting the President..
Bet he does not use that reasoning this time.

(8,614 posts)I'm tired of the delays and the 2nd guessing in the MSM. He was there. He was in on the planning. Let's start with that and see what he has to say about it. Let's see him explain the phone log, the dark money and the secret meetings.
I'm not interested in pretending they might have acted in good faith for bad reasons. He knew it was wrong and he knew about the coming attack. I want to see him explaining that to a judge ASAP, not dancing in front of the camera on the talk shows and the 6 o'clock news.

(4,094 posts)Nope, don't let him get you confused, he knows what he is saying, he is inciting terrorism.

(18,519 posts)His lawyers likely recommended he comment about any future terrorist activities both supporting and chastising any potentially illegal terrorist activities to confuse, bewilder, and plant seeds of plausible deniability so no one can really be sure what he is saying, or what he means, or be able to decipher his intentions.
The fog of inconsistencies and confusion are specifically designed to derail the Swalwell legal actions against him. Moe is simply just a wandering goulash of idiocy and stupidity but not to be held legally responsible for his actions.
To Moe if you are extreme right-wing,... He is inclined to give you a big bear hug. If you lean left or are indeed left-wing Moe is more inclined to spit in or slap your face.
(Figuratively not literally)
Moe is just exercising his Rights to Free dumb of Speech and he is not inclined to be a snowflake as he vehemently goes about supporting his causes in the political spheres

(3,893 posts)Instead, he claims that such violence is becoming more common. Then he gives the reason it is becoming more common. He indicates that he has an "understanding of citizenry anger" (his words). He also goes on to claim there is a threat, which becomes the motive for violence. People inciting violence provide motive and understanding to those they are inciting.

All of the GQP spouting claims of socialism should be asked to define what socialism is.
