The job of the Malicious Intruder Removal Team is to ban people who join DU with the intent to disrupt. MIR Team members are volunteers, and they serve for a three-month term.

If you are a member of the MIR Team, you should have access to the access-restricted Malicious Intruder Removal Forum. It should appear as a red folder on your Forums & Groups page, and in the left column of any page (if you view DU in "Standard" mode).

17. Opinion on MIRT members with many hides?

Just curious about policies regarding MIRT members who have personal histories of multiple hides in last 90 days. I try to stay out of the alert wars, but I see several on the list who have at best a "spotty" record her at DU. I know MIRT in an important function. Also I THINK I remember a couple of disrupters in the past who had served on MIRT.

28. I've never had a hide. I had one alert but it was voted down by a big majority. You can get the

same sentiment across but just use softer language. There are some hides that have been pretty goofy though, so I can understand your sentiment though.

I know I don't have a star, but as I did have one up until about a year or so ago and have served in MIRT before I thought the proof that I'm real was already made.
