Hearts Week is almost over! Use 'em or lose 'em!

Most everyone on DU seems to really enjoy our annual Hearts fund drive, and since I've had a number of requests asking that we extend the promotion, we've decided to give everyone an extra 24 hours to get and give hearts.

The fund drive will now end late night on Tuesday, February 15. (This will also give the folks who sent their membership renewals via snail mail a chance to get some hearts to give out before the end of the fund drive.)

Please note that after the fund drive ends, you will no longer be able to give out hearts. So make sure to use them soon, because they'll be gone by Wednesday morning. There will be no further extensions!

Thank you to everyone for making this a successful week -- as you know, DU is funded solely by advertising and member subscriptions, so as ever, we are extremely grateful for your support.

Maybe it's just me, but I looked at the inbox messages I got announcing the fund drive, & the messages I got when I bought hearts, & I didn't see an end date & time.

I'll suggest adding that info to the messages, like "you have until the end of the day X to give hearts" or something like that.

I've met some good friends and friendly good-guys here! You've created a most welcome haven and shelter-from-the-storm. It's so valuable and reaffirming to know that we can come here and celebrate or commiserate.
