Changes to Latest Breaking News posting page

Attention Latest Breaking News posters -- as part of various upgrades we are in the process of making, we have changed the LBN posting page so it now operates the same way that it did on DU2.

When starting a thread in the Latest Breaking News forum you will now be asked to enter a title, a link to the source article, and the name of the source. There is an excerpt box for an excerpt of up to four paragraphs from the source material, and a comments box so you can include your own optional comments.

If you posted threads in the Latest Breaking News forum on DU2, this should be instantly familiar to you.

We have also re-included the Duplicate Checker, which displays the titles of the last five threads posted in LBN.

21. Can you make it so we can use formatting in the story post or auto excerpt?

I find that it is much easier to read when the story is in the excerpt box so it contrasts with the white screen

3 duplicate LBN threads on the death of Breitbart within a few minutes, with only 1 other thread between them and the first thread about it.
