US monitoring massive sea life die-off on far side of Bering Sea

Water pollution and massive death of marine animals have been recorded on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, across the Bering Sea from Alaska’s shores.

Russian scientists and Greenpeace personnel are investigating....

and so far they haven't made any sort of announcement.

It should be pointed out that Kamchatka is extremely new land and the whole area is heavily volcanic. This could be a natural process fueled by undersea vents. It could also be the result of Soviet dumping of extremely nasty stuff decades ago. Nobody knows yet.
