Christmas Day to bring risk of tornadoes, damaging winds to central Alabama (al.com)

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama ---- The National Weather Service has issued a warning for severe weather on Christmas Day, including the possibility of isolated tornadoes and damaging straight line winds in central Alabama.

All of central Alabama will be under a risk of severe thunderstorms.

The severe weather is expected to move into the west and southwest part of central Alabama on Tuesday afternoon and move toward the northeast.

The threat of severe weather applies to all of central Alabama, with the most likely threat south of Interstate 20.
