Roy Moore files $40 million 'fake news' lawsuit

Roy Moore is seeking more than $40 million in a lawsuit he filed Monday against a Washington magazine, three of its writers, its editors and owners over a series of what he describes as “fake news” attacks stemming from accusations he faced while a U.S. Senate candidate in 2017.

Moore, who is again running for the Senate, filed the lawsuit in federal court against the Washington Examiner publishing company and ownership and five employees.

It's the sixth lawsuit Moore has filed relating to the allegations that he made unwanted sexual and romantic advances to teen girls when he was in his 30s.

Moore has repeatedly denied all allegations.

The Washington Examiner is an American conservative news website and weekly magazine based in Washington, D.C. It is owned by MediaDC, a subsidiary of Clarity Media Group, which is owned by Philip Anschutz.

From 2005 to mid-2013, the Examiner published a daily tabloid-sized newspaper, distributed throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. The newspaper focused on local news and political commentary.[3] The local newspaper ceased publication on June 14, 2013, and its content began to focus exclusively on national politics, switching its print edition from a daily newspaper to a weekly magazine format.[4]

The Examiner is known for its conservative political stance and features many known conservative writers.[5]

immediately after he was accused? The reason for that was it only took a couple phone call maybe to confirm it was probably true. In any group like Moore's peers, they know who the perverts are.

Then someone got to them and they realized they had to try and save that Senate seat.

The whole lawsuit is shocking. Usually he only takes on 14-year olds.
