Alabama 14-year-old accused of killing 5 family members

Authorities in Alabama say a 14-year-old has confessed to killing five family members.

The slayings happened early Tuesday in Elkmont, which is about 45 miles northwest of Huntsville.

According to Huntsville TV station WAFF, the shooting victims are the 14-year-old’s father, John Sisk, 38; stepmother, Mary Sisk, 35; two brothers, ages 6 and 6 months; and sister, 5.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says it has recovered the murder weapon, a 9mm handgun. The department said the gun shouldn’t have been in the home, but wouldn’t say why, Huntsville TV station WHNT said.

Including burning animals alive. Although various news stories have said that the boy's biological mother died when he was six or so, and that there had been custody issues before then, the boy apparently believed that his biological mother was the father's current wife. They recently told him that that wasn't the case.
