The media won't tell you that he is bound to go back to normal levels once time progresses.

(96,882 posts)It's been 2 weeks since his comments on Mexico and there's been no blowback in his polling. I think his appeal comes from saying whatever he wants (and what the conservative voters really think). Absent a major scandal, I don't think his numbers come down appreciably before the August debate.

We're in the primaries, so typically the most ideologically extreme elements are showing their true colors.
