A crew member filming the television show “Cops” was shot dead by police Tuesday as law enforcement officers tried to corral a robbery suspect at an Omaha, Nebraska fast food restaurant.

Bryce Dion, a sound engineer who holds the microphone during filming, appears to have been caught in a hail of more than 30 bullets unleashed by police Tuesday evening after a prison parolee from Kansas used an air gun to hold up a Wendy’s around 9:20 p.m., the Omaha World-Herald reported.

The suspect was also shot dead but has yet to be identified. A press conference is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.

And Im still confused on a few things;

How did he sound guy get in the line of fire? Or, since I dont want to sound victim blaming, how did the line of fire come to cover the known presence of the imbedded crew?

Why did the police start shooting?

What hapened to the film of the incident?

American cops are largely pumped up lunatics and will wildly fire at center mass at the first chance, so anything from a weapon slipping due to poor fire control to a really unfortunate ricochet may have caused it.

The man with an airsoft gun fired at them twice, which apparently warrants a volley of fire.

The film? Lol. These are cops in the united states. What do you think happened?

They should not be allowed to be.

I agree most police are not well practiced in weapon use and control. One of the main firearms rules is know what is in front of the muzzle. I am sure tunnel vision and when one shoots all start opening fire happened and was wrong.

They shoot each other, they shoot innocent bystanders, they shoot embedded media. If guns don't kill, there sure seem to be a lot of killers using them.
