Waurishuk: Edward J. Snowden: Tinker, traitor, liar, spy

Read the above link if you wish. The worst propaganda piece yet. Below, a great response.
******************************
The ONLY liar in this piece is the author. He insinuates that Snowden has given documents to the Russians and the Chinese when that is clearly not the case. The appointed propagandist states that Snowden could have gone through channels and got himself on 6o Minutes etc. Perhaps the author needs to watch the PBS Frontline Special that details the heroic actions taken by five NSA analysts and executives to stop the UNCONSTITUTIONAL activities of the NSA by going "through channels." Four men and one woman all worked to stop the very same activities e.g., PRISM program of massive data collection on the American population etc and they got nowhere.

Colonel the only traitor(s) here are those who ignore an defecate on the constitution through actions taken both individually and collectively to violate the privacy and freedom promised all Americans by this sacred document. You sir together with the rest of your sorry cabal who kneel at the feet of "The Corporation" and the American Oligarchy with a more than able assist from the corporate media are the problem, not we the people. You promote fear and cast blame ignoring the prescient statement of Herr Goebbels... "Once you have them (US) in fear, the rest is easy."

In fact one NSA executive in fact was hounded legally for years to the point of financial ruin due to legal expenses. The day before his trial was to begin the NSA/Federal Govt legal team dropped all charges and fined him $25 dollars. This guy went from leading NSA Exec to working at an Apple Store!

Snowden was aware of the trashing that these five fellow patriots were handed and thus engineered his actions to counter the predictable response of a corrupt corporatist government. Mr Snowden has prevailed and it is up to the American people remaining who still respect truth, to support and advocate on his behalf in order to effect some reversal of our corrupt corporatist government. One thing that Snowden has exposed is that the notion of Freedom in America today is an Orwellian term!

Mr. Snowden who is an American Patriot of EPIC Proportion in the same vein as General Smedley Butler who stopped an American Coup d'etat against FDR in the 1930's, himself a multiple Congressional Medal of Honor winner is known for a famous speech entitled "War is a Racket." You should watch it reinacted on youtube... Trust me you need to watch it!

Curiously the PROPAGANDIST err author here ignores facts by the boatload substituting his own bias for truth that is supported either by government statements affirming or failing to refute statements made by HERO Edward Snowden! Certainly as a former spy, the Colonel here understands that any trial that HERO Snowden would face would be a kangaroo court of the first order. John Russell, Dade City

The fact that the government has to turn the spy agencies on its bosses -- the People -- shows how corrupt the true powers are.

The warmongers have run the show since Nov. 22, 1963.

and that of the GOP congress and senate who abetted Bush's illegalities by institutionalizing Bush's excesses by 2006 instead of doing oversight.

It really pisses me off that Rand Paul stays quiet about the Republicans' role in all of this.

Remember when Tice reported that Bush's NSA had been tapping Obama since 2004?

I don't think Obama even knows the full extent of what BushInc has been doing with intel and security industry that Poppy Bush set up and even helped privatize with his loyalist cronies like Booz-Allen (and Dell) in the 70s and 80s.

They're a right-wing rag at it's best. I never read it, but they have a free version called the Suncoast News that's delivered a couple of times a week. It's filled with junk writing from Rich Lowry and Tom Jackson. I think I'll cancel it right now. I get tired of tossing it in the garbage from my driveway.

12. June 1 Meet the Press: Snowden Debate: Traitor or Criminal?
Fri Jun 6, 2014, 11:53 AM
Jun 2014

On June 1, NBC's Meet the Press unveiled new polling numbers about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. They weren't very revealing. What was more instructive was how the show presented its debate over Snowden's actions.
The main participants in the discussion were right-wing Crossfire host Newt Gingrich and hawkish former Democratic Rep. Jane Harman.

snip

The only hint of dissent on the panel came in a brief comment from Time's Rana Foroohar, who pointed out that while she doesn't trust Snowden–"I would have more of a belief in Edward Snowden if he wasn't a guest of Vladimir Putin"–that skepticism is spread out equally: "The administration has been evasive and has on occasion lied about its espionage tactics."

So the main debate about Snowden boils down to one side saying he's a traitor and the other side saying he should come home and do prison time, perhaps as a lesson to children.

"Colonel, In addition, the ONLY reason that Snowden is "stuck" in Russia is because the State Dept. revoked his passport... STRANDING HIM THERE! It was not his choice to end up in Russia. ANOTHER LIE BY A TRAITOROUS PROPAGANDIST for the ESTABLISHMENT!" JR
