I have a sneaking suspiscion that the leaker is none other than Kash Patel

Here me out:

Yesterday we got the breaking news that Patel was on the tarmac heading for Chicago when he got a call to come to the White House. He abandoned his plans. Everyone assumed it was because of his behavior and recent online sparring. I thought he was gonna be fired.

Next thing we hear is that Kash Patel was called to the White House to work on an investigation

White House Directed Patel to Oversee Investigation Involving Times Reporting
The F.B.I. director spent about eight hours at the White House Friday focused on the effort, which led to the subpoenaing of several Times reporters who wrote about the security of Air Force One.

Then the next thing that happens is the report about the subpoenas to the NY Times.

Times Journalists Subpoenaed as Trump Escalates Pressure on Media
The Justice Department is seeking to compel testimony from reporters who wrote about the new Air Force One. The Times called the subpoenas a brazen act.

The subpoenas contain few specifics, asking only that the journalists testify “in regard to an alleged violation of federal criminal law.” They were issued by Jay Clayton, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan. Mr. Clayton, who leads one of the country’s most prominent law enforcement offices, was recently nominated by Mr. Trump to serve as director of national intelligence.e move a “brazen act.”

The subpoenas were issued by Jay Clayton US Attorney Manhattan.

Now I am going to go way down the rabbit hole:

Remember the bombshell NY Times article:

Inside the White House Freakout Over the Epstein Files
The president’s top advisers gathered in a series of Situation Room meetings as they struggled to contain a scandal engulfing Donald Trump himself.

Well if you have been following this story, you will know that the quotations made by the participants were so exact that someone had to have taken copious notes or there is a recording. I think there is a recording. So, who was there?

Vice President JD Vance took a seat at the head of the table in the John F. Kennedy Conference Room of the Situation Room complex. “This is a huge problem,” he told the group. Arrayed around him were the White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles; the White House counsel, David Warrington; the press secretary, Karoline Leavitt; the deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich; the communications director, Steven Cheung; the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche; the associate attorney general, Stanley Woodward Jr.; and the deputy chief of staff James Blair. Attorney General Pam Bondi and the F.B.I. director, Kash Patel, joined on speakerphone.

Pam Bondi and Kash Patel joined by speakerphone! Golden opportunity to make a recording.

I think that is why Patel was summoned to the White House yesterday. They may have found their rat.

Let me know what you think.

But this, from Wikipedia:

According to his memoir, Government Gangsters (2023), although he was interested in medical school programs, he was inspired by defense lawyers who golfed at the club. Patel graduated from the University of Richmond in 2002 with a degree in criminal justice and history. He earned a certificate in international law from University College London and graduated from the Pace University School of Law in 2005. According to a questionnaire he sent to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Patel participated in the American Bar Association's "Judicial Intern Opportunity Program", a diversity initiative, as a Pace student in 2003.
