See reply 6 below. The original thread title wasbut a journalist whose Bluesky posts you'll see in reply 6 says the private group claiming they were threatened faked the letter, and they've done this sort of thing before.
And see reply 10 below for the apology posted by Benn Jordan, the musician who'd posted the fake letter before finding out it was fake. His apology includes a screenshot of the fake cease-and-desist letter. He's deleted his original post about it, the one that had appeared in this OP.

(63,960 posts)FYI: this is a fake viral marketing bit by this "Saturday Salon" group. Flock's Chief Strategy Officer says they never sent it; the branding is off and the purported author's title is wrong, among many other things.

They put themselves and others in legal jeopardy and handed Flock a win by making critical press seem hyperbolic.
I apologize for not fully vetting this, as Flock had sent frivolous letters in the past.
