He could fund most of the governments on this planet. That makes him dangerous as he showed us by defunding USAID. People have died because of it, but he doesn't care. He will snort some drug and spend his day being the arrogant son of a bitch he really is. He has no empathy and would walk all over anyone who stands in his way.

I have no use for billionaires who pay little to no taxes, abuse their employees and get rich off the taxpayers through bogus federal contracts.

I responded that I would rather sit out here in the wilderness without internet, television, communications, and I would even give up my electricity and running water before a gave a PENNY of my money to that drug-addled apartheid nepo-baby.

Ranting and raving while everyone else goes out of their way to avoid him.

Kind of like Milton in Office Space.

He also did a lot via self promotion and self enrichment to further electric vehicles and reusable space flight components while taking advantage of government subsidies.

Both of those things could have been done by others because the man of history narrative is generally useless, and he's still on balance a massive net negative for humanity.

His successful companies are more paper than cash cows. He sells the future, but delivers poor bottom lines.

Who managed to network and market himself to exploit enough easy opportunities and fellow expat tech entrepreneurs that he was able to make a shit-ton of money (mostly to go away) and position himself as an "Angel Investor" and the next Phoney Stark.
He was a decent picker of " almost there" niche businesses to invest in and could spin a good science fiction story to other investors - and rich folks. But other than his pretty good ability to code using 1990's/2000's software, his own real "engineering" knowledge is pretty much the same as an average high school nerdy kid who read magazines like Scientific America and Amazing Stories, along with every book in the local library's Sci-Fi section...
