A question how do you feel about these progressive democrat who they label socialist.
Im fine with these candidates as our party is changing the younger generation is now stepping up. As these young people deserve so much more from our party than what we have been given over these last forty six years since Reagans presidency.

(1,237 posts)Its a distraction. Hours spent debating comparative political theories, reeducation, and correcting people makes people resentful and feel like theyre being manipulated and managed. Just call it something new and move on.

(1,237 posts)Progressive Democrats plays better than Socialist Democrats in Peoria, IMHO. Why invoke democratic socialism at all? Its a lightning rod for a lot of negativity and push back, and to what end? Showing people how sophisticated our intellect is? I think some really LIKE the baggage, just so they can correct people on political theory, like gun folks do with clips and magazines.

(380 posts)Ever since the Russian Revolution anything and everything to the left of Attila the Hun has prompted a Red Scare. Labor unions, striking workers, FDR, beatnik, hippies, Democrats, Greens, simple empathy for one's fellow humans, it's a Tuesday, time for another Red Scare. That card has been played so much that it has become meaningless.
