(82,426 posts)Americans paid for the war.
Paid higher prices for goods.
And will pay to end the war and make reparations.
Trump will somehow get richer.
And Iran will do great.
This is the expected outcome.
I would be shocked if there was any other outcome.

(3,588 posts)Trump starts a failed, illegal war of choice to destroy Irans nuclear capabilities and foment regime change and as a result a more radical, extremist regime is enriched to the tune of $25B and Iran makes no concessions as to their nuclear capabilities.
Trumps incompetence and stupidity are beyond astonishing.

-compensate Tehran by releasing blocked funds (at least $6 billion)
-lift sanctions
-remove American forces from around Iran (Iranian sources more specifically mention the naval assets in the region)
-lift the blockade
-ceasefire in all fronts including in Lebanon (basically allowing Tehran to rearm its proxy network and help Hizballah reasserts its control in Lebanon)
In exchange for
-gradual reopening of Strait of Hormuz with the transit remaining under Tehrans management and control
-negotiations over other issues with no hard deadline (the 30-day negotiation window can be extended)
Washington has not denied any of these claims.
This is a total surrender, pretty symbolic if it is announced on Memorial Day.

(25,783 posts)I want to watch you sell this "deal" to your MAGA friends.
The more I see of his bumbling, the more I worry that the fix is already in for our future elections. Republicans should be scared of the voters by now, and I don't see convincing signs that they are.
