61% of Americans Said They Had to Cut Back on Groceries

Concern about rising prices has reached a fever pitch as Americans sit down to Memorial Day barbecues across the country. A majority of Democrats, Republicans and independents said that they had changed their purchases from grocery stores to stay within budget in the last several months, according to polling from CNN.

Another 59 percent of Americans said they had cut back on extras and entertainment.

More than three quarters of Americans, including 55 percent of Republicans, said President Trump’s policies had increased the cost of living in their community.

Survey after survey has found that Americans are feeling growing financial uncertainty. Nearly half of all voters gave the economy the lowest rating, “poor,” in the latest New York Times/Siena poll, up 11 percentage points since January.

You Tube is filled with financial people but before you dismiss it all, there are some real professors, economists, interviews with legit experts. Of course you have to weed out the charlatans, gold bugs, crypto fanatics, right wing libertarian wack-a-doodles.

Some prognostications include real supply side problems in the weeks and months ahead without known expiration date. Motor oil. What's available is what's available. I bought a year's supply this week. Don't know if it will be on the shelves when I need it.

Justice matters.

Now higher prices are reported but only someone at the gas pump saying yeah, it's more expensive and they're cutting back.

I can't see the word "groceries" without thinking of Trump doing his routine of explaining a common word to the audience ("a bag with different things in it" ) because he can't remember anything.

The boondoggle war of choice perpetrated by this delusional administration is costing all of us…..except the war profiteers.

The silent cost is our environmental degradation impacting our lives…..

After firing a long line of senior Military leadership who warned that we might loose while wasting weapons. And I'm sure other experts warning about the economic effects were also purged or ignored as well.
DJT and his Maga Cabinet all figured higher oil prices would somehow might be good and not what the effects of suddenly reducing supply by 10-20% might do to a world economy still rooted in the use of petroleum.
