The $5.02 ghost: Trump’s team faces a symbolic blow to one of its favorite economic talking points
Trump officials are "absolutely, totally freaked" about the political symbolism of breaking Biden's high gas price record.

And Biden’s high mark is one that Trump and leading administration officials have used as a yardstick to show the prior administration was worse for Americans.

But with the Iran war in its third month, and no end in sight, there is little the administration can do except watch the figures tick up day after day.

“There is a lot of anxiety that they have not been able to close a deal,” said one of the former Trump energy advisers.

We drive a hybrid that gets over 40 mpg, so the price of gas is fairly irrelevant for me. And maybe, just maybe, this will drive more sales of electric vehicles. Without intending to, tRump might be helping the environment in this one case.

The cost of electricity will ALSO rise because of AI sucking up huge amounts for AI to function!

None of these things happen in a vacuum, independent of one another.

about all the tankers leaving the US with oil to sell. He really thinks this is a good thing, that every tanker leaving means pices here are going up because there is more competition for oil with most of the Middle East shut down by Fatso's egocentric war of convenience. All those rich ruckers can see is dollars rolling in, not the suffering that's causing the majority of people in this country.

They don't see that because we are invisible to them, ironic since they need us so much more than we need them.
