That dear, sweet funny man lost his job for telling the truth about Trump. Is there nothing good that evil bastard hasn't destroyed? I'll be watching tonight's final episode with a box of Kleenex and a glass of Jameson.
BTW - after tonight, CBS is off limits in our house. Done.

hosted by Stephen Colbert that you have view YouTube, (sorry!) :
They didn't include the performance with the interview, so I'm including a couple of the songs that you
also have to view on YouTube:

Trump is and always will be the smallest and most despicable man on this planet! May his life continue to be filled
with loss after loss. I will never forget or forgive what Twitler has done to Stephen Colbert, all of the band members,
and the show's staff. All the more reason to fight back at the polls!

(42,435 posts)I agree that Stephen Colbert got the shaft ... but I don't believe this will hurt his career. He's so talented and loved in the industry. He could retire now if he wanted to, but I'm sure the offers are rolling in for other opportunities.
I know he's already planning to contribute to the next series of "Lord of the Rings" movies as a writer. That will get his foot in the door for other movie projects I'm sure. He could segue into producing movies and TV shows, if that's what he wants to do.
Also I'm thinking, maybe he's going to do a daytime talk show with his wife? He seems to have her on The Late Show a lot, and they do well together. Both are bright, funny and entertaining. It would be sort-of "Rosie O'Donnell" with a little bit of "Ellen Degeneres" and a little bit of "Phil Donahue." I don't know if that's in the works, but if it is I'd watch it, and I almost never watch daytime TV.
