Eric Swalwell is no longer taking contributions on ActBlue. Which either means he has shut down his campaign on ActBlue or ActBlue has kicked him off.

This either means there was an actual fire, or the GOP was able to do what they did to Franken (though in all fairness to Franken he was accused of far less).
Better move quick. Democrats need to consolidate support because the last thing we need is two republicans at the top which is a real possibility with this jungle primary nonsense. Im probably getting behind Porter at this point.

(1,795 posts)What a shame, I was probably going to vote for him in the primary.
The dick pics or snapchats alone put him at best in Anthony Weiner territory, which by itself shows terrible judgment and shitty behavior, especially if these happened after he was married.

Also, these aren't like decades-old allegations -- most are alleged to have happened just in the past few years. Surely the statute of limitations has not run out. Why are they talking with CNN and not the cops? If they want to cut off the claims that this is just political ratfucking, they should go to the police immediately.

Maybe you're thinking about her not making the top 2 in the Senate race?

When it comes to governor, temperment matters. Not so much for congress and senate.

(20,668 posts)I dont know what happened or didnt. Im just telling you my heart hurts from this.
We are losing a truly great future governor and president, if he is innocent. If he isnt, I really hope that Katie Porter didnt do this because that would make so much harder for me to support her as much as I liked her. Im not in their district anyway, not even in their state. Chews me up to see our good guys self-own like this. BRAH.

(2,690 posts)Right now we have to get our sh*t together and get behind the next prospect.
If he's out and if he's guilty?
Let's give it a minute, the story just came out.
