Chris Taylor will join the supreme court, flipping a conservative-held seat.
This expands liberals' majority on the court to 5-2.

I am proud of my home state.
Not so much the state I live in now. (Iowa)

The court flipped and it made a huge difference for the people in that state in terms of being able to vote and being able to exercise other rights. That we've now cemented a 5-2 advantage means there's a buffer now and 1 race can't flip it back.
