So let me get this strait

I'm going to bomb you out of existence if you don't open the thing that was already open before I started bombing you.

Iran has agreed to re-open the Strait of Hormoz with certain US concessions.

So Mango Mussolini appears to agree with a two week delay to complete the terms and sign the agreement.

So we spent billions of dollars and lost a lot of lives to re-open something that was already open before the US and Israel attacked Iran.

This is officially the end of him as a political power. Anyone that continues to take him seriously or defer to him in any way should be mocked and ridiculed without mercy.

We achieved nothing but to weaken our military, put our country even further in debt and lose one of our most precious resources, the lives of our military heroes who lost their lives to satisfy the ego of a madman.

4. 'This is Iran's 10-point proposal to end the war'
Tue Apr 7, 2026, 08:32 PM

"The US, through Pakistani intermediaries, put forward a 15-point framework aimed at rapidly de-escalating the conflict."

"The US proposal reportedly included an immediate ceasefire, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, talks toward a broader peace settlement within 15 to 20 days, and wider conditions tied to Iran’s regional activity and military posture."

"Tehran rejected the proposal, saying a ceasefire was insufficient without a permanent end to the war, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA)."

"Iran’s reply reportedly consisted of 10 clauses, all highlighted below, as per reporting from the likes of The New York Times and Axios."

"Iran’s 10-point peace plan:"

- Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again
- Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire
- End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon
- Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran
- End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies
- Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz
- Iran would impose a $2m fee per ship transiting Hormuz
- Iran would split these fees with Oman
- Iran would establish rules for safe passage through Hormuz
- Iran would use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations

7. (NYT) 'United States Said to Have Sent Iran a Plan to End the Middle East War'
Tue Apr 7, 2026, 08:44 PM

"The 15-point plan was delivered via Pakistan, whose army chief has emerged as the key interlocutor between the United States and Iran, officials say."

"The United States has sent Iran a 15-point plan to end the war in the Middle East, according to two officials briefed on the diplomacy, reflecting the Trump administration’s eagerness to find an offramp from the conflict as it grapples with its economic fallout."

"It was unclear how widely the plan, delivered by way of Pakistan, had been shared among Iranian officials and whether Iran was likely to accept it as a basis for negotiations. Nor was it clear whether Israel, which has been bombing Iran together with the United States, was on board with the proposal."

"But the delivery of the plan showed that the administration was ramping up efforts to conclude a war, now in its fourth week, that has drawn in several other countries."

"The New York Times did not see a copy of the plan, but the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive details, shared some of its broad outlines, saying that it addresses Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs."

"Israel and the United States have targeted Iran’s ballistic missiles, launchers and production facilities, and its nuclear program in the bombing campaign that began on Feb. 28. American and Israeli leaders have vowed never to allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon."

"But Iran has continued to fire missiles at Israel and neighboring Arab countries and still holds 440 kilograms of highly enriched uranium in its territory."

"The plan also discusses maritime routes, one of the officials said. Since the beginning of the war, Iran has effectively blocked most Western ships from safely passing through the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway in and out of the Persian Gulf, cutting the global supply of oil and natural gas, and sending the prices soaring."

"For now, there is no indication that the war will let up imminently; Israeli officials have said they expect it to continue for weeks. In a statement, Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, acknowledged diplomacy was underway, but said, 'As President Trump and his negotiators explore this newfound possibility of diplomacy, Operation Epic Fury continues unabated to achieve the military objectives laid out by the commander inchief and the Pentagon.' "

11. With Trump you never know...
Tue Apr 7, 2026, 08:59 PM

(From TPM) "Trump on Truth Social, 6:32 p.m. ET, with the climb-down, describing what he claims will amount to a 'double sided CEASEFIRE!':"

"Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks."

"This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East. We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

and their behavior in Gaza PROVES that THEY should not be allowed to have them either !!!!!

Israel has proven themselves to be MUCH more GENOCIDAL than Iran,
and more than the current government of the United States, for that matter!

AT THE VERY LEAST, all U.S. financial military aid to Israel should be CUT OFF!!!!
(and all other financial aid for that matter, so they can't shuffle it back to their military!)

Likely that can't happen before there is another Democratic majority and President,
but personally I am paying attention to candidate stances on that issue
in the midterms this year, and in 2028!

I am DONE with 'the Holocaust card',
after Israel created their OWN Holocaust in Gaza,
and would like to create an even BIGGER Holocaust in Iran!

Seems to me that Israel needs to vote out its current government,
just as much (or perhaps MORE-SO) as Iran should vote out its own---
if either people get the chance to do so!

The war against Iran, Yemen and Lebanon to cease completely by US and Israel
US to lift all sanctions on Iran, including those from the Bush era
End all conflicts in the region.

I don't remember them all.

As you mentioned, we will leave Iran as a bigger problem than it was 45 days ago. But beyond that, we have completely flipped off all of our European allies. The relations were already stretched paper thin after the tariffs and Greenland. This war put every one of our European (former) allies into "good riddance" mode.

If we can ever get rid of this evil Republican presence, it will take us a generation to regain the trust of the other western democracies. And by that time, they will have developed work-arounds that leave us out of much of their trade. In one year, Trump has done a whole generation's worth of damage. And even Canada and Mexico are now aggressively pursuing trade strategies that largely leave the US out of it.

Trump just thought he could off the Ayatollah and a revolution would happen. It would be clean like Venezuela and he could have a puppet government that may even let him plunder the oil too. Once there was an actual war it was evident he’s never had a plan and was looking for any reason to declare victory and get out. This will go down as the most pointless war of all time when history looks back at it.

Tue Apr 7, 2026, 11:05 PM

TACO, TACO, TACO.
Not that I wanted him to follow through, I never expected he would.
Now it'll look like he engineered this cease fire of the war he started when he knuckled under to Netanyahoo. He'll take a victory lap if the cease fire holds, even though it should have never been needed.
His base will see him as a great leader as the price of oil gradually drifts down to close to where it was before he started this war; a war that cost us at least $100 billion, the lives of 13 men and women, and the good will of all our allies.
Never has the United States been so humiliated as by our own president. Never have we looked so weak as when we let Israel push us into a war with their enemy; a war they clearly didn't want to take on alone.
Never has an American President look so greedy as our current president who will probably leave office with $30-40 billion more than when he was elected.
Never have we seen and heard an American President so vulgar as our current president.
And yet his popularity hovers around 40% of people in many polls.

Two things are absolutely clear at this point: We are the big losers in this war, and the Russians are the big winners.
