Message from my union just now. Crazy shit!

Oregon has directed millions in public dollars with Enterprise Rent-a-Car, which provides vehicles used in ICE raids that harm and terrorize our communities. Tell the state to end the contract: seiu503.org/dump-enterprise

STOP to opt out

Anyone else in sei503 got this message today?

I don’t like to boycott without proof.

The information I could find said Enterprise has only two contracts with FEMA under DHS, and nothing directly with ICE.

Unless you have a source with verified information, this sounds like another internet rumour gone wild.

To ask if they got the same email. Our union is very vocal. I'll update when I have more info.

I thought I was good at reading comprehension, but this doesn't make much sense.

I'll find more. My union is very Dem focused. They send us notices for protests. I need to cook and such, I'll catch back up, hopefully tonight, with my posts. I think I posted more today than I've done in ages. Nervous energy, maybe

State of Oregon: End your contract with Enterprise Rent-a-Car
Our public dollars should reflect our values. Oregon should not spend taxpayer money with corporations that help carry out immigration enforcement operations that harm workers, families, and communities. Enterprise Rent-a-Car provides vehicles used by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to target immigrant communities and terrorize our neighborhoods.

Immigrant workers are our coworkers, neighbors, and family members. They care for our elders, teach our children, grow our food, and keep our communities running.

When companies profit from deportation systems, they help spread fear and instability in our communities. Public institutions should stand with workers and communities, not with corporations that profit from deportation.

We demand that the State of Oregon end its statewide contract with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Oregon has not agreed to end its contract. So the OP text makes a little more sense but it is poorly written and unclear.
