is Burt Lancaster. The movie is a fictionalized version of the Judges' Trial, which was one of the twelve Nuremberg Military Tribunals, but the words spoken in the movie ring true today in many ways, imo.

The script is excellent, too, for bringing out so many sides and issues so that the film's message comes through without being trite or simplistic.

Yes, it is timeless abd applies today.

Burt Lancaster was a card-carrying ACLU member and liberal.

Some of the films he made with director John Frankenheimer are some of my favorites.

Burt Lancaster, Spencer Tracy, Judy Garland, Richard Widmark. Marlene Dietrich, William Shatner, Montgomery Clift.

I think that Maximillian Schell was new at the time, at least to American audiences.
