(24,630 posts)trump dies and goes to Hell. He is given a choice of 3 rooms to choose where he want to spend eternity. The first 2 are horrific and he asks to see the 3rd choice. The door opens and he sees a bunch of his fellow republicans standing knee-deep in shit and drinking coffee. He decides this one would be acceptable. He knows everyone there. He grabs a coffee and wades into the room. 5 minutes later, a voice comes over the public address system. "Ok folks, coffee break is over. Back on your heads."

(40,986 posts)I understand the logic behind having two-senators-per-state, that each state should get equal representation, but IMO, population density has made that idea outdated for a very long time. The Senate has too much power & influence to give states with hardly any people so much sway. But the right will never change these & at the same time, never admit they win by advantage, not with ideas & policy.

to have Medicare, Medicaid, or ACA for healthcare.
And it should be illegal for them to have anything more for Health Care.
Then theyll support ACA.
Then theyll support a Single-Payer system.

(334 posts)For them share in the responsibility for this? They seem oblivious to it. They seem do believe that they are in another world. People in other countries seem to get it even more than them.
I saw Ann Counter and some other repubs the other day, they said they didn't vote for this. They say they just want immigration reform the wall, and a white country. Not going to happen ever. They seem to forget about tunnels and that this country is made up of many races. Many that are in their own families. Smh.

(20,888 posts)At the height of the MAGA movement I can understand how betraying Trump would be political suicide, but now with his approval at 33% and support for his foreign policy perhaps even lower, I have to assume the republicans in office are quite pleased with what he's doing. (see Lindsey Graham)
Indeed, Trump may just be acting as their alter ego and the cowardice is that they never had the nerve to step up and commit social and economic atrocities themselves.

(40,986 posts)My senators are quiet, corporate dems, but I called them & asked where the unified voice of democratic outrage was.
Rep. Neguse is great, visits all areas of his district, & speaks out frequently!
