The favorability numbers for President Donald Trump and Reps. Ryan Mackenzie and Scott Perry in PA-07 and PA-10, respectively, are underwater and could signal trouble for the congressmen in particular and Republicans in general in November.
In the 7th Congressional District that comprises Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, Trump has a minus-16 favorability number with 40% viewing him favorably versus 56% unfavorably. Forty-one percent of respondents approve of the chief executive’s job performance compared to 57% who disapprove.
Mackenzie, the freshman representative who unseated Susan Wild in 2024, has not won many friends in the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton area as just 27% of constituents polled approve of his efforts in Washington. With 41% disapproving, Mackenzie’s favorability number is also underwater at minus-14 with nearly one-third of those surveyed in the neutral or unsure category.
