(77,218 posts)The man did his job and exposed the many ties between Trump and Russia but Bill Barr, the
Republicans, and the corporately controlled media did their jobs for the P.T.B. and hid Muellers
work.
Democracy dies in the dark.

(7,688 posts)Sorry, but Mueller let Bill Barr control the narrative that Trump didn't collude with Russia in 2016, which he knew was bull shit. Just another Republican who refused to stop Trump when he had the chance.

(26,096 posts)Thought he was "above" politics and thus let off one of the biggest criminals in history of our country. White males like him have let wealthy white males slide for centuries. It wasn't above politics, it was politics as usual. Sad.

(22,517 posts)served his country admirably as a Captain in the Marines.
With regard to his investigation, he was constrained by forces that no one here would have been able to overcome.
So was Jack Smith...different forces, but constrained beyond his control nonetheless.

(12,525 posts)His Congressional testimony during the Trump Fiasco, Act I.
It was revealed then (or at least rumored) that he'd been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Not an easy way to shake your mortal coil. One of our neighbors died with Parkinson's last summer. Once you enter the final stages of the disease, the end comes petty quickly.

I have no ill will toward the man, but that's the chief emotion I associate with that name. We had such high hopes for that investigation, and...

Still, he tried. I will always believe that. RIP, Dude.
