$30 million in taxpayer dollars down the drain in yet another embarrassing mistake by the Trump administration.
U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen and other top Democrats on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee have issued a furious statement trashing the Trump administration for its carelessness and its incompetence:
“Our heads are exploding over the news that the Department of Defense reportedly shot down a U.S. Customs and Border Protection drone using a high-risk counter-unmanned aircraft system.”
“We said MONTHS ago that the White House’s decision to sidestep a bipartisan committee bill to appropriately train C-UAS operators and address the lack of coordination between the Pentagon, Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Aviation Administration was a short-sighted idea.”
“Now, we’re seeing the result of its incompetence.”
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, a credibly accused rapist has spent the majority of his time in office doing pushups and trying to kick women and gays out of the military.
It’s bad enough that we’re spending a trillion dollars on the military budget every year instead of spending it on the American people.
The LEAST they could do is be responsible with it.
