How is everyone still falling for this? Matthew Cooke

Feb 24, 2026
How are people still falling for this fascism con? Why does it keep coming back over and over again?

Because we keep looking for its roots in the wrong spot. It's not some fringe idea buried in the woods. It's the concrete beneath our feet. The roads we drive down. The jobs we have to take. The rent we pay and the currency we use.

We've been living in this pyramid scheme our whole lives. We can't see its roots through the pavement. First we have to break the concrete. Then we can see the round earth again.

of great civilizations: the nearly meteoric rise, the plateau in which wars and natural disasters are dealt with and survived, and then the collapse, which can be through abandonment or a violent flameout as people turn on the power elite.

Epstein and the rotten class that made him rich would be obvious to all of them as a symptom of decline and fall We never seem able to pull out the weeds, their roots are too deep for that. We usually have to wait until the soil dries out and becomes depleted, which seems to be what's happening right now. The only question then becomes how many of us will survive the collapse and start the whole thing all over again.
