A passenger flying from Los Angeles to Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday was shocked to hear a JetBlue employee thanking President Donald Trump during a special President's Day in-flight message on the plane.
Photographer James Weir posted his reaction to the announcement on JetBlue Flight 2010 on Threads, describing the moment an airline flight attendant tried to show gratitude for the Trump administration and why he found it so outrageous.
"@jetblue The fact that the pilot or flight attendant chose to begin the flight by specifically thanking President Trump and his cabinet for all that they do means this will be the last time I choose your airline," Weir wrote.

nothing Ive seen mentions it was corporate messaging or directive.
If I hear otherwise I will share and gladly boycott.

(4,265 posts)This doesn't sound like any kind of corporate directive in any political climate. I could never imagine any airline being that stupid. Well except for trump shuttle. And where are they now?

(8,365 posts)But I don't hate TRUE Christians and I applaud the work people like james talarico is doing. We NEED a religious left, because if you read the passages in red in the bible (quotes directly attributed to Jesus) or read his Sermon on the Mount, it's actually "woke". Pure and simple. There is no hatred, violence, aggression, intolerance in a single word Jesus Christ ever uttered. And religious Liberals need to take that shit back from the Charlatans and whores.

I was raised Catholic, and I'll never join another church, but at the same time I'm not a very good Catholic for the last 50 years. Be that as it may, I agree with your comments about a "religious left" because the so-called "religious right" is a total Repuke joke.
I was taught by many sincere priests and nuns, and James Talarico is a good example of the religious left. I don't live in his state, but if I did I'd definitely vote for him.

(2,220 posts)We need a properly organised and effective left. If folks in the left org decide to become or are already religious then fine.
But a religious left is just a different flavour of right wing religion. Do we want a leftist president who is religious pushing a government to embed leftist policies tied to religious themes regardless of the theme?
Be careful what you ask for

The rest of us will pay double the market rate and like it!

They will say the employee was terminated. How do we know?
They should have lost take off clearance due to mental defect. I cannot trust a brainwashed dead flight crew!
There are NO excuses, and responsibility begins and ends with the CEO.
He fostered a workplace where this is acceptable.

(1,589 posts)There's no evidence it's a company policy. Should the attendant done that? No. But I can't fault an entire company because low level person did something I don't like.
