So, who is watching the progress of the Save Act in the Senate?

With Susan Collin's vote, isn't this a sure thing?

Can the ACLU step in afterwards? At least to slow it down so we can have a safe midterm vote?

That's probably the safest bet.

Otherwise, I don't know. They don't have much time to pass this and actually implement it for 2026. It would already cause chaos for November and lower courts would issue an injunction to sort out the mess. My guess / hope is they give up when it becomes impractical.

It really does sound like even reliable sources are trying to create urgency to get readers to read their articles. I'm thankful to have DU as a source.

It’s DOA in the Senate, GOP leadership already said that any attempt to kill the filibuster will be opposed by most republican Senators. Thats why the felon says he’ll do it via executive order which would of course be meaningless.
