Note to fellow retired geezers: Get off the airways about current events.
Yeah, we all did what we did in our jobs, have engrained the-way-it's-supposed-to-be-done.
Talking to retired generals, law enforcements, Legalists, roofers and pool cleaners, misc. whomevers and whatevers - you're not there, you haven't spread your DNA on the current scene, and you've been thirsting all your previous career to surpass the back-then ones on the media telling them how expert and how-it's-supposed-to-be-done.
*** Do we remember the olde days about Fitzmas? How we hung on Keith's nightly feature with then esteemed "reporter" David SHUSTER would swear to us every night that KKKarl ROVE was definitely going to be indicted within two weeks, that his sources were totally rock-hard knowledgeable, impreccably experienced with Grand Juries, and completely Nostradamus?
And we lapped it up. Back then (2006?) in my final visit to my lifelong political sister who was dying of breast cancer I sat with her and tried to keep her mind off things, and she said, "I don't want to talk about politics anymore." But I persisted for the spirit of things and said, "Really? Well, ROVE is going to be indicted in two weeks" - and her eyelids *SHOT* up.
So, when Fitzmas happened, SHUSTER had to take some accountability, and said that his impeccable "sources" were: LAWYERS with untold YEARS of experience with Grand Juries, intimately familiar with all the ins-and-outs of how Grand Juries work. NOT anybody with knowledge of what was actually happening inside THIS Grand Jury - because THAT is completely incommunicado.
In other words, SHUSTER's "sources" were actually *PUNDITS* not anybody with knowledge of what was going on in THAT Grand Jury.
*** So, all these "retired* experts, please get out of the way.
I love Ashleigh BANFIELD, whom I first saw when "MSNBC" started, whom I anguished over when MSNBC trashed her in favor of Michael "savage" WEINER, who has been propelled to the limelight again, this time fueled by the horrendous (is she human?) Meeghan KELLY, with 15 days of doubling down that her source says the son-in-law is the kidnapper. If it's true this is incredibly hurtful to everybody, including the family of us.
