I don't know how people can think it was incompetence that resulted in the disclosure of survivor names and heinous distribution of images. It was clearly intentional..as a threat. Think thug mo

The stupidity in this situation is huge. The malice comes from the top, but perhaps doesn't extend to the idiots that were doing the redacting.
I don't know of course and you might be right. If we had a functional Congress we could have some hearings and find out instead of guessing.
In any event, the rage is well deserved and multiple heads should roll as the result.

(69 posts)Occam's razor is usually quoted as:
"The simplest explanation, or the one with the fewest assumptions, is usually the best"
And is used widely in many fields ... at least initially before more evidence is collected.
Hanlon's Razor was "inspired by Occam's razor" but is more specific to guessing evil intent or stupidity. Evil and stupid are both "one" explanation so it's hard to apply Occam's razor to pick between them!

(8,808 posts)Fear is one of the main tools of this administration.
They may be stupid about some things, but someone had to actually decide to redact the names of those who raped these girls, while retaining the names of the girls, and even nude photos of them.
It was both a punishment for daring to demand justice, and a warning to others who were abused by Epstein and his clients not to step forward.

They made everyone wait for 1 1/2 months to release the files, BECAUSE, they were redacting the victims information.
This regime is the devil!

(515 posts)it continued years after. Some went into hiding and changed or disguised their identities. It is terrifying to think of the depths of resources for fear and intimidation available to this entire cabal of criminal elites. Trump has always operated as a mob boss with legions of thugs and goons. I was thinking about Stormy Daniels telling about why she accepted the pay off because of the thug who came up to her when she was getting her child out of her car seat. He said something to the effect of, Beautiful little girl you have there. Be a shame if something happened to her. Trump gets pleasure from the cruelty and violence. I am amazed at the courage of the survivors who continue to fight for justice and sickened by how exponentially wrongful they have been treated.
