Brilliant! Mayor Mamdani's First Executive Order

https://www.nyc.gov/mayors-office/news/2026/01/executive-order-01]

PRIOR EXECUTIVE ORDERS
By the power vested in me as Mayor of the City of New York, it is hereby ordered:
Section 1. All Executive Orders issued prior to September 26, 2024, and in effect on December 31, 2025, are hereby continued unless specifically revoked, revised, or superseded by a subsequently issued Executive Order. All Executive Orders issued on or after September 26, 2024, and in effect on December 31, 2025, are hereby revoked.
§ 2. This Order shall not be construed to affect the provisions of Emergency Executive Orders issued pursuant to section 24 of the Executive Law, where such provisions are in effect as of January 1, 2026.
§ 3. This Order shall take effect immediately.

Basically revoking any executive order Adam’s made after he was indicted —in the final fifteen months and five days of his term of office—was presumptively corrupt.

If Democrats ever regain power - take heed of how it’s done!

Because that, apart from signaling, is what matters.

Oh, no. I stand corrected. For many, apparently, only it's the signaling that matters.

(Seriously, for all I know the set of EOs revoked is an empty set. Yippee, he revoked nothing and we're all ecstatic over it.)

Included in the revocation were the ban on Israel boycotts, or BDS; the city’s adoption of the IHRA definition of antisemitism, which critics say inappropriately treats some forms of Israel criticism as antisemitic; and a requirement that the police chief “evaluate” rules about protests outside houses of worship that Adams issued last month after an anti-Israel rally at a Manhattan synagogue.

Perhaps accountability............after someone has serious charges against them and gets pardoned by a rogue entity, the EO"s he issued should absolutely be null and void........we need more adherence to the rightness of actions. Signaling in and of itself can be positive. I choose to view it this way! Good luck, Mr. Mamdani, we all wish you much success.

there is. But it’s a statement that a politician who signed executive orders after being INDICTED can be seen as illegitimate and a good place to start cleaning house.

All Executive Orders issued on or after January 20,2025, and in effect on January 20, 2029, are hereby revoked.
Also, all those appointed to government positions, all those hired by ICE and Border Patrol, from January 20, 2025 to January 19, 2029, are immediately furloughed pending investigation of their qualifications.

they are fired and barred from working in any federal position. Id go further and extend the ban to any cabinet official and most of their underlings that had to be senate confirmed..

By all rights, there ought to be an establishment of a criminal record, in the rare cases where one does not already exist.

And the same goes for all staffers and cabinet members.
