President Trump on Tuesday called for a “total and complete blockade” on all sanctioned oil tankers that enter or depart Venezuela, as the administration heaps pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro at sea — and leaves the door open for land strikes, CBS News reports.

Axios reports Trump also designated Venezuela a “foreign terrorist organization.”

PM Mark Carney pointed out to Jon Stewart that there were a few refineries in the Southern US that refine heavy oil from Canada and the only other country with such oil is Venezuela and what was the US going to do? Replace Canadian oil with Venezuela's? It is not friendly to the US. Well it looks like that may be Trump's plan. Replace Alberta oil with Venezuela's in the limited heavy oil refineries in the US. Shake down a reeling Alberta to join the US. Break up Canada.
