And the East Wing is rebuilt - that then becomes part of the history, the fabric of the building. And a great story for future generations.

So, I guess anything is possible.

He wanted to sell the buildings....I think he still has them listed as for sale by the GSA. But no one bid on them because of the cost of reconstruction. So, then he listed them for demolition and then sell the (our) lands for another ugly hotel? How much you want to bet some corporation that has Kushner on the board buys them up and destroys them.

He destroyed bas relief sculptures and grillwork from the Bonwit Teller department store on Fifth Avenue:

Trump’s White House Demolition Isn’t His First Time Leveling A Building — Or Ignoring Preservationists

With Donald Trump demolishing the White House’s East Wing to make room for a 90,000-square-foot ballroom, the president is returning to the playbook from his Trump Tower days—move fast, build big and leave preservationists fuming.

“I said that if the friezes could be saved, I’d be happy to donate them to the museum,” Trump wrote in “The Art of the Deal”; he later confirmed the deal in writing, according to Preservation News, a publication of the National Trust for Historic Preservation of the United States.

In June 1980, however, the “sculptures were smashed by jackhammers” while the grillwork, which was supposed to be shipped to a New Jersey warehouse, went missing, Preservation News reported at the time.

They never have an original idea. Slurping up the awful deeds of those who came before. It is a true sickness. I would not believe most of this if I hadn’t seen it. Iraq comes home to roost again. Hitler walks among us, evil seeps from the administration. There is no end to it.

But that's not something any individual candidate can be sure of having the power to do, and promising something you aren't sure of your ability to deliver is very risky.

He promised all sorts of impossible things that haven't materialized. He didn't care if any of it was possible as long as he got votes. And now it's blown up in his face, and everybody's pissed off at him!

I'd like to think Democrats have better sense than to lie outright about doing something they know is an extremely long shot. At least I sure hope so.

The 2025 project that wants to remove the FDIC and go back to bank self insurance, like before the Great Depression, is going to happen. FDIC was a "new deal" policy to address bank failures.

If he removes the FDIC, I'm putting my money in an overseas account.

...let's make it our life's work to destroy what he has created. Starting with the repulsive things he's done to the White House. Put it back the way it was. And if he manages to get that fucking ballroom constructed, turn it into a food and medical supply center for the poor---without his Goddamned name on it.

. . . should also be undertaken is the seizing of that golf course in Scotland. If Trump wants to be an enemy to the people of various parts of the World and to unbalance stability worldwide by coddling Russian interests in favor of his own, potential future, personal economic gains. The people in those parts of the world (if not everywhere across the world) should also deprive him of what he thinks he owns.

Since it is not clear (after all, the Trump Administration telling the truth about anything is as likely as me being able to throw a Muskian cyber-truck 100 yards) that there is any justification for what Trump is doing in the waters off Venezuela, one could argue that he is responsible for either murder or war crimes. Let him go to Scotland or somewhere he could be arrested and sent off to be tried.
That may be impractical now, but it soon won't be. He is on the way to becoming quite a lame duck, a duck that still needs to see the inside of a prison cell for his insurrection at a minimum. The corrupt "justices" of his Supreme Court cannot spare him or grant him immunity overseas.

I agree with your project, too. I would suggest razing every single building he owns or seizing it and re-purposing it. I think Mar-a-Lago would make nice temporary housing for new immigrants to Florida. Much like W's de-Bathification of Iraq, the US will need to undergo a de-Trumpification: every one of his vile lickspittles, toadies, sycophants, thugs, and henchmen need to be thoroughly investigated.

Also, the ties to the Saudi Royal family as they are now need to be reconsidered. Bonesaw killed a person with US papers. First, 9/11 and then that should make Saudi Arabia need to reform itself or be excluded from participation with Western nations in Western nations

Anything is possible. He hired a guy who wasn’t a demolition expert who used undocumented workers forced to live in the structure as it was demolished. He must be stopped from demolishing the property of the people. This shit has really gone beyond believability. He is eating the souls of good people one at a time. Too much to endure!

Demolished by Donald Trump in 1980 to build Trump Tower, the Bonwit Teller Building will forever be remembered for Trump's promise to preserve its Art Deco sculptures and bronze grille for the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met), only to have them jackhammered and destroyed to speed up construction, causing public outrage and cementing his reputation for prioritizing profit over preservation.
