"A certified medical professional with 14 years of experience treating dementia patients may have just cracked the whole f***ing code complete with a specific drug, specific side effects, and specific behavioral symptoms that perfectly match what were all watching happen to Donald J. Trump in real time.
snip
Trumps mysteriously bruised hand the one photographers have caught, caked with orange makeup and concealer is exactly what patients look like after repeated IV infusions of Kisunla (donanemab), a monoclonal antibody drug for early symptomatic Alzheimers disease.
snip
Kisunla cannot make Trump sharper. It can only slow his decline while his brain continues shrinking, misfiring, and losing executive function.
This is exactly why:
his speeches make no sense,
his temper is erupting hourly,
his inhibitions are gone,
he confabulates constantly,
and he keeps falling asleep in public.
The drug isnt failing.
His brain is."
The clinician ends with this:
I think hes got 35 months left in the land of the living when you compound all of these symptoms along with possible heart failure and kidney disease.

(4,672 posts)Trump looked reasonably sharp at the September 3 press conference when he announced the future location of the Space Force operations center in Huntsville, Alabama. At the end of the press conference, he dramatically announced breaking news that a that drug-ferrying boat had been blown up.
I think the decision to blow up a boat (almost ANY boat) was pre-planned in order to show Trump's supposed competency.

(11,909 posts)The author claims that Trump's sexual comments about his daughter are because of his dementia. But he was saying stuff like that decades ago.
Same with a lot of the other claims. He has pathologically lied his entire life, you can't blame his recent lies simply to dementia.
Sure, the author might be on to something about the Kinsunla injections. Others have speculated the same and there's good reason to think they might be right. The MRIs as part of the treatment are a new angle I hadn't seen.
But the over the top sensationalism just detracts from these points.
He even made sexual references about his daughter when she was still a baby and as you say, he's been a compulsive liar his entire life.
As for the rest, it does make sense, but every person is different, so I wouldn't predict how long he has to live.

Alzheimers patients can live many years after diagnosis.
My father was affected for six years from diagnosis to passing.
But the effects being noticed now are mild compared to what will happen in six months. He cant hide it then.

(32,563 posts)My dad lived for six years as well. He took that medication to slow the progression of the disease. I was impressed when he called me to tell me Tim Russert had died. I hadn't heard, and was glad he remembered that I kept up with politics. He called another time to ask if I still played my cello. After six years he faded slowly. He slept more and more, and one day, he was just gone.

(2,578 posts)The veins take a while to recover, which is why people on extended stays at hospitals (especially when older) usually keep the catheter in place as long as possible. If he is getting as many injections and blood draws as I suspect, his veins are probably shot.
I also have to wonder if his extremities (fingers/toes) are bruised or purple. If he's on Lasix for congestive heart failure (which I suspect he is), the evidence will be in his feet, especially purple toes, swollen feet, psoriasis of the skin.

Of course, that was just a six day thing.
If it was a longer regime, they may have put it somewhere else.

If you merely look at video of Trump from March, the comparison to today is striking. Imho, he's got CHF. Lack of blood to the brain would certainly account for the listlessness and instant naps. It would also account for the swelling in his legs and perhaps puffiness around his eyes.

He and his ass-kissers made fun of Joe Biden being the oldest POTUS. But in this case, Joe was aware of his surroundings, chose his words carefully, worked around his stuttering visibility, even was still taking jogs and riding bikes.
But it is becoming painfully clear that Trump is falling apart in real time for all to see. Pictures do not lie.

(26,598 posts)Most people with Alzheimer's live 3-12 years, sometimes more. This drug is given in the early stages to remove plaque, hopefully staving off more serious issues. The delay in the onset of serious effects from this drug is measured in months. If he had 3-5 months, he would be in a far worse state at the moment and would not be on this drug. The damage would be done - as noted, this drug does not reverse symptoms, delays the transition to the worst state while the disease is in its earliest phase..
I'm not saying he is not on this drug, just that the 3-5 months is hyperbolic. It would explain the MRI as that is what they use to test the efficacy of this drug's effect.
