Exact same couple I've run into twice already, they say their piece about tariffman and then turn their backs
to me like "that's all we're gonna say now that we owned a libtard, end of conversation."
Had no one else to talk to so plenty of time for gears turning upstairs. Was hoping the nurse would call my
name first and she obliged.
Got up, walking past the MAGAts I told them "Boy I sure hope our great President tRump kills Social Security
and Medicare like the super wealthy want him to do, they shouldn't have to help pay for our hospital bills, they
need all their money" then showed them my backside walking away.
Have never talked to an R like that before and never will again, just felt like giving them a taste of their own
medicine they like to dish out to Liberals. These 2 are true loyalists who worship Der orange Fuhrer.
The shocked look on their faces was worth it plus they were speechless.
So anyway I'm hooked up getting my hourly drip drip drip and thinking what I just did when it dawned on me
what should be our party's message going forward and it's so simple some of you will laugh at me and
dismiss it.......FOLLOW THE MONEY should be our rallying cry.
Isn't that the problem today? The 600? wealthiest families control most of the money, they use it to buy
R politicians who will write laws favorable to the super rich only. Plus it's the Rs who always want to cut
Social Security and Medicare while our side would love to increase them.
Rs give them huge tax breaks then our Government turns around and borrows it back from them with interest.
Some of the wealthiest pay no income tax but the IRS pays them money because of loop holes. Hey Mr & Mrs
poor R voter is that fair?
I truly believe if we make the next 2 elections about poor vs rich and if we had more money to spend because
of a higher minimum wage, we would be spending it creating more factory jobs to fill demand. The economy
would boom under our leadership.
And then there's follow the Epstein money to the really rich people who Rs are doing their best to keep secret
from the public, PEDOPHILE PROTECTORS because the rich have the money they want.
Donvict was billions in debt when elected, now he's billions to the good, FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Going forward my response to anyone wanting to talk politics will be FOLLOW THE MONEY if you want to know
how to improve this Democracy plus informational bits like millionaires on our side say tax me more while
millionaires on the R side say give me more money and loop holes.
FOLLOW THE MONEY needs to be repeated over and over again by all our Politicians and ourselves to get the
poor R voters to vote their pocketbook.
Some on our side already talk about wealth inequality, let's get everyone on board with the rallying cry
FOLLOW THE MONEY, you'll be glad you did. The rich don't need millions more to live comfortable.

tons of poor Rs voting their pocketbooks.

While its probably not true, Trump has never released his federal tax forms like most presidents. Thats probably because his tax payments are so low compared to his net worth.

(2,334 posts)But you need to find a way to calm yourself mentally during cancer treatment, for your own health. Personally, Im not sure that Follow the money would resonate with the MAGATs. They cant follow their own money, let alone anyone elses. Unfortunately, there are so many ways to launder, divert, and hide money now that it can be really hard to track. And even when we can track it, it often leads back to groups that the MAGATs support. I think that we need to focus on the corruption that the money creates. And the misplaced priorities (virtually unlimited defense funds, almost nothing for social support). I know that there are creative minds out there who can craft the right message - if theyre allowed to.

Like I said FOLLOW THE MONEY and how corrupt Rs are when they deal with it.
For any R voter working for minimum wage ($7.25),and there are millions of them, a new minimum wage
of $15 would resonate with them.

Your health and well being are far more important than assholes that support the mf'er. Do you have earphones to play soothing music and drown out the imbeciles? Maybe if you just totally ignore them - totally disengage - they'll find something else to do?
Good luck with everything.

(22,494 posts)First time was at the grocery at the egg section and then I happened to get behind them at checkout, both times they said what was on their mind which was basically 'you low life libtard' and then both of them showed me their
backsides, 2nd time was at last months cancer treatment and again they were extremely rude and turned their backsides on me. I was ignoring them yesterday but the wheels up stairs were turning how could I possibly pay them back and get them to understand how IQ4.7 was screwing them when I came up with what I did. And I'm betting I'll see them at next month's treatment, we are on the same schedule it appears.
My blood pressure doesn't go up when I see a MAGA hat or bumper sticker, my mind starts wondering how I can best
educate them that they have their head up their ass without pissing them off, the whole time staying cool, calm, and collected.
Had more than one boss in life that's said "you can't intimidate him" referring to me. My dad taught me to question
everything in life, so I question Rs, even some who are MAGAts.
When is the last time you engaged in a meaningful conversation with a reQublican to show him the error of his ways?

(4 posts)I took the opening post a little differently. I took it to be recommending that exact phrase, "Follow the Money" as a Democratic Party slogan or meme. A slogan to be publicly spoken as often and as emphatically as possible. Just those three words to be used first whenever talking to or about the Publicans.
To me, this idea has merit. The other side is a master of branding by innuendo repeated from a playbook. We need the same. This phrase also has the happy merit of pointing to the truth.
I wish party leadership would work on succinct messaging more than they seem to do.
KS Toronado
(22,494 posts)I honestly believe adding "FOLLOW THE MONEY" to our Democratic vocabulary would pay huge dividends
however one wanted to call it.
Everyone has heard the phrase and in my small brain it says "Go look for the truth in this", or "see the evil one"
and isn't that what we'd like to see Rs do is look at honest facts?
There are so many ways our side can talk about how the super rich & Rs use and abuse money that keeps the
99% poor or middle class. hope our party leadership is reading DU and giving our ideas for winning elections
serious thought. FOLLOW THE MONEY!
