How is one kid forced to eat his/her food, helping that starving person?
Invite them in and share, perhaps?

when I was very young. I didn't want to swallow the squash so I packed it in my cheeks. My cheeks got rounder and bigger. My grandmother opined that I looked like a chipmunk with my cheeks stuffed. Then my mom made the 2 veto rule. I was thrilled.

I didn't argue because I knew that my grandparents and uncle starved in Germany post WWII even with the rations. I didn't take it as me eating food I didn't want was helping others.. It was more of a shutup and be grateful thing.
