(3,737 posts)But a part of me seriously doubts it. There will never be the equivalent of a truth and reconciliation process in the USA. Even if or when the Democratic Party regains control of all three branches; should have happened after Nixon, should have happened after Reagan, should have happened after Bush I and II, but never did.
The powers that be, which includes all of the MSM, find it imperative to maintain the illusion of the USA as a shining beacon on the hill. And election are all fair and clean. And Senators and Congress people arent bought and sold to the highest bidder, and they certainly dont enrich themselves while in office.
So no, I dont think there will be trials and accountability. We will have another national nightmare is over, lets move forward moment and all thats been done, and will continue being done, to destroy democracy will be overlooked, once again.
I sincere hope I am wrong.

During World War II, over 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry were forcibly removed from their homes and incarcerated without due process of law. Although little remains of the barbed-wire fences and tar-papered barracks, the Minidoka concentration camp once held over 13,000 Japanese Americans in the Idaho desert
