Wait, wait, WAIT. PLEASE explain to me how the United F*CKING States could "MISTAKENLY INVADE MEXICO?"

THEN explain why drunken tattooed sexual offender Hegseth is STILL FUCKING EMPLOYED.

American troops "pulled up on a Mexican beach" and created a "terrifying standoff," according to a new report.

According to at least one news report, "American troops pulled up on a Mexican beach in a dramatic escalation of tensions after Donald Trump threatened to bomb the country."

"US 'contractors' arrived by boat on Monday at Playa Bagdad, driving signs into the sand near where the Rio Grande empties into the Gulf of Mexico," the Thursday report states. "Alarmed witnesses quickly alerted officials and heavily armed Mexican security personnel rushed to the scene on trucks mounted with machine guns in a terrifying standoff."

"The Pentagon, in a deeply embarrassing statement, admitted that its troops were mistaken when they landed on the beach. The Mexican personnel watched as the Americans drove six signs into the ground, which said: 'Warning: restricted area.' Written in English and Spanish, they claimed that the beach was the property of the US Department of Defense and had been declared restricted by 'the commander.' They also said unauthorized access or photography was not allowed in that area and that 'if you are found here, you may be detained and searched.' Mexico's foreign affairs ministry said its navy removed the signs from the sand, which it believed were on Mexican territory."

Ain’t no boatswain’s* mate in the Navy that would

2) Obey such a ridiculous order

Number one is a certainty. Number two is just a hope.

LOTS of big, heavy helicopters from the nearby army fort, going southeast. Since I can look outside and see a mountain in Mexico, south east = MEXICO. Unusual air traffic, BIG planes too. Made me a bit anxious, like, 'oh hell, what are those morons in the White House & Pentagon up to?'

Been quite past couple days, no weird flights in our normally very quiet area.

I know Dept of DEFENSE recently added more personnel to the local Army Fort, and scuttlebutt among local immigration lawyers is that ICE is coming to this area soon. There is a new rush to put up a new stretch of 'the wall' to the west of my location.

Things have been eerily quiet around here for the past few months, and I am expecting the other shoe to fall soon.

LOL

As I recall, the first war with Mexico was set off over a dispute over the southern Texas border,
combined with a pack of lies.... (although the real cause was that we wanted more
of their territory which extended to California)

Seriously, the headlines this story is generating are misleading,
since the people involved were 'contractors' and NOT actual U.S. soldiers...
although they should have been better informed and known how to use GPS, it appears they didn't.

has shifted a bit north of the border line - so there is a small patch of the US that's on the south side of the river (at least that's how it appears). It's mostly saltwater marshes in that area which shift around with storms and Musk put his testing HQ right on the border. Like NEXT to the river. Playa Baghdad is the beach south of the Rio Grande; it extends south for miles.

You can see on Google that Mexicans drive their trucks up the beach to the river mouth. There's also a pin that says "Mirador Space X" - it is a popular (?) viewing area for Space X launches.
